Saudi Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani and Hong Kong’s Secretary for Justice, Mr. Paul Lam, met to explore ways to enhance judicial cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Al-Samaani highlighted the legal and judicial progress that Saudi Arabia has witnessed under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prime Minister.

The minister emphasized the strides made in the specialized legislative system, including the Evidence Law, the Personal Status Law, and the Civil Transactions Law. These laws play a crucial role in ensuring judicial safeguards and achieving transparency for litigants.

The two ministers also signed a memorandum of understanding that outlines cooperation between the two ministries, including the exchange of expertise on preventive justice, judicial training, and the organization of conferences and events.
